Democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi launched Burma’s first mobile library over the weekend, local media report. Two buses with more than 15,000 books will start traveling on Monday to 21 villages in Rangoon’s Kawhmu Township, Suu Kyi’s constituency, Eleven Myanmar reported. The library will also offer classes on computers and English language, the news agency added. Nobel laureate Suu Kyi has made education a priority since being elected to Parliament last year. “Education is the most important thing for a country’s development,” Suu Kyi said at the opening ceremony of the library on Sunday, as quoted by Eleven Myanmar.
