Indonesian defense officials have pulled out of an air show in Singapore amid an escalating row over Jakarta’s decision to name a warship after commandos who carried out a deadly bombing in the city state in 1965. Last week Singapore complained about Indonesia naming a refurbished frigate the “KRI Usman Harun.” Usman Haji Mohamed Ali and Harun Said were executed in Singapore for bombing an office that killed three people. The attack was part of then Indonesia President Sukarno’s “confrontation” policy with the Federation of Malaysia, which at that time included Singapore.—AP
