Burma’s government has appointed two foreign companies to manage sponsorships for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games, which will be hosted in Burma later this year, China’s state news agency Xinhua reported Wednesday. The Ministry of Finance and Revenue selected Dentsu Sports Asia, a sports marketing agency from Singapore, and JK Consulting, a business consultant for local and international companies in Burma, to select and procure sponsors for the 27th Games. The regional sporting event with athletes from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam will be held in Naypyidaw, Rangoon, Mandalay and Ngwesaung beach in December.
