Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi met with the speakers of Poland’s Parliament on Wednesday to discuss building democracy in Burma, the AP reported. The National League for Democracy chairwoman held talks with Ewa Kopacz, speaker in the Polish Lower House, and Polish Senate Speaker Bogdan Borusewicz, and will meet President Bronislaw Komorowski and Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Thursday, according to the AP. Reuters reported that Aung San Suu Kyi was unperturbed by having get out of a car and walk through the rain as crowds of trade unionists protested in front of the Parliament in Warsaw.
