Thai Air Asia will begin flights between Bangkok and Naypyidaw next month, ahead of December’s Southeast Asian Games, Xinhua reported. The flight, costing US$50, will be introduced on a thrice-weekly basis from Oct. 28 and will run daily from Nov.15, according to Xinhua. It said Air Asia currently offers three flights per day between Rangoon and Bangkok, as well as daily flights connecting Bangkok with Mandalay and Rangoon with Kuala Lumpur. The flight is intended to serve the increased demand for flights to Burma’s capital, where the 27thSEA Games will begin on Dec. 11.
