Singapore Airlines Ltd has announced that it will launch daily services to Rangoon as of Oct. 28 to cater for the increasing demand, a move that could significantly affect Burma’s tourism figures in the near future. The firm said it plans to operate 16 weekly flights from Singapore to Rangoon on its subsidiary SilkAir, though its scheduling is still subject to government approval.
