Burma’s Lower House Speaker Shwe Mann met his South Korean counterpart, Korean National Assembly Speaker Kang Chang-hee, and South Korean President Park Geum Hye last week, the state-run New Light of Myanmar reports. Shwe Mann, who was a leading member of Burma’s former junta, headed the delegation, which penned a bilateral agreement and discussed Korean investment in Burma in the technology sector, personnel development and education reforms. The delegation then visited the headquarters of Samsung and a number of academic institutions. Shwe Mann also invited Park to visit Burma.
