Burma’s oldest and largest university has opened a new library dedicated to increasing knowledge of the country’s powerful northern neighbor, reports China’s Xinhua news agency. Burmese Deputy Education Minister Zaw Min Aung and Chinese Vice Minister of Information Cui Yuying on Thursday attended the opening of the new China Library, built on a 150-square-meter plot provided by Rangoon University. The library includes 5,000 books and picture albums in Chinese, English and Burmese, as well as computer equipment provided by the Information Office of the State Council of China.
