3 October 2012
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Qatar Charity will host a meeting in Doha, Qatar, on Thursday to discuss the situation of the Rohingya in Burma’s Arakan Sate, according to a report by the Gulf Times. Around 30 regional and international organizations are expected to attend the event.
The first consultative meeting on the Rohingya was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in September.
Qatar Charity’s executive chairman Yusuf Ahmed al-Kuwari said in a statement that it was important for organizations interested in the Rohingya issue to coordinate their efforts.
