Indonesia finished top of the medals table in the Asean Para Games, which concluded in the Burmese capital, Naypyidaw, on Monday, with the host nation coming fifth overall. According to a statement from the Asian Paralympic Committee, Indonesia took 99 gold medals, 69 silvers and 49 bronze in the regional games. “Host Myanmar improved on their previous overall position, taking the fifth overall spot with 34 gold medals, 26 silvers and 36 bronzes,” the statement said. The games for people with physical disabilities followed Burma’s hosting of the Southeast Asian Games in December 2013.
