Splash Foods, a subsidiary of personal care and food group Splash Corp. of the Philippines, plans to partner with Burma’s Dagon group of companies to enter the Burmese food market, according to the Philippine Daily Inquirer. The Dagon group is involved in a range of business activities, from property development to agriculture and retail. Splash was founded in 1985 and has become a leading local producer of skin-care products. It expanded into the food industry in 2011 with the acquisition of a Filipino company that produces shrimp paste, sauces, fruit preserves and ready-to-eat canned meals.
