China has provided assistance to help Burma organize this month’s Southeast Asia Games (SEA Games), including sending about 700 “experts” to assist officials hosting the games, according to Chinese state-run media. Xinhua reported Tuesday that 28 Chinese coaches spent a year in Burma and 176 Burmese athletes traveled to China for 90 days of training. “The Chinese side has sent about 700 experts including coaches, Game managers, stage designers and technicians to work together with the working group from Myanmar relevant authorities including Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Sport,” the report said.
