Police in Malaysia have identified the body of a young man who was apparently bludgeoned to death as that of Sai Hla Saung, a 15-year-old Burmese national who went missing on Jan. 11. According to a report by the official Bernama news agency, the boy’s body was discovered in Johor Bahru, capital of Johor State in southern Malaysia, on Jan. 11. His mother, Nam Aye Swee, 37, said on Tuesday that she would claim the body to be cremated after police positively identified it following a DNA test. He was believed to have been bludgeoned to death as there were injuries on the back of the head. Police said they would continue to take statements from his friends before making any arrests in connection with his death.
