Thai police have seized 4.49 million methamphetamine pills found in an apartment in the largest meth bust ever in Bangkok. Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yubumrung said on Tuesday the tablets and 60 kg of crystal meth were smuggled from Burma. The value of the drugs was estimated at 1.5 billion baht ($50 million). Police said they arrested three suspects, including a 16-year-old boy, and confiscated four pistols from them. Thailand is a transit country for illegal drugs entering the international market, with millions of methamphetamine pills trafficked through the borders last year.—AP
