At least 17 Myanmar junta troops were killed in the last four days as People’s Defense Force groups (PDFs) and ethnic armed organizations (EAOs) continued to attack regime targets across the country.
Incidents were reported in Mandalay, Sagaing, Magwe and Tanintharyi regions and Shan and Mon states.
The Irrawaddy has collected the following reports of significant attacks from the PDFs and EAOs.
Some military casualties could not be independently verified.
Heavy clashes in northern Shan, Mandalay
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) said seven clashes broke out between it and regime forces in Kutkai and Muse townships, northern Shan State and Mogoke Township in neighboring Mandalay Region in a single day on Tuesday.
Many regime troops were killed and nine weapons and some ammunition were seized from the junta forces. A total of 52 clashes have broken out between the TNLA and regime forces since July 23.
Regime forces killed in ambush in Mon
Five regime forces were killed in Kyaikhto Township, Mon State on Tuesday when the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA), the armed wing of the Karen National Union (KNU), and other resistance groups attacked military sentries near the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway, said Seven Ravens Column, which joined the raid.
There were no resistance casualties, the group said.
Military unit attacked in Sagaing

Myaung Special People’s Defense Force (MSPDF) claimed to have killed four junta troops as it and other resistance groups jointly ambushed a military unit of around 200 troops raiding villages in Myaung Township, Sagaing Region on Sunday.
They also triggered land mines to ambush regime forces retreating from the first ambush site. On the next day, the military unit burned a Buddhist religious building along with rations including 250 rice bags during their raid on Anauk Village in the township.
Junta troops attacked at KTV in Sagaing
At least eight regime troops including an officer were killed in Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region on Sunday when a PDF group attacked regime forces having fun at a KTV karaoke establishment in Kawlin town, according to media reports citing resistance forces.
The shootout ended after an hour when junta reinforcements from a nearby military position arrived at the clash site. A resistance fighter was injured in the thigh by a junta explosive, the PDF group told the media.
Military convoy bombed in Magwe
Many regime forces are believed to have been killed or injured in Pakokku Township, Magwe Region on Monday when three resistance groups triggered mines placed in trees to ambush a military convoy on a road outside Pakokku town, said Alindan Guerilla Force, which coordinated the attack.
Photos released by the resistance group show the blood-soaked ambush site.
On Sunday, the resistance groups used 120-mm and 90-mm improvised mortar rounds to bombard the pro-regime village of Twin Ma, which is the base of a pro-junta Pyu Saw Htee militia group, and regime soldiers in Myaing Township.
Details of the damage and military casualties were unknown.
Regime forces shelled in Magwe

Phoenix Ranger Defense Force (PRDF) said it and two other resistance groups used 20 improvised rocket bombs to target regime forces stationed at a hospital and school in Myaing town, Magwe Region on Sunday.
At least one soldier suffered serious injuries, the group said, citing military informants.
On Saturday, the groups used six rocket bombs to attack regime forces who raided villages while they were gathering at a location in the town, said the PRDF.
Military vehicle attacked in Tanintharyi
The resistance group Guerilla Dawei said it and other resistance groups ambushed five regime forces including a captain traveling in a vehicle in Launglon Township, Tanintharyi Region on Tuesday.
After being ambushed, the junta forces managed to flee in the vehicle. Military casualties were unknown.
