Two passengers were injured when a plane landing in Burma shot past the end of the runway when its brakes failed. The Facebook page of Burma state radio and TV reported that a Fokker plane of Myanmar Airways carrying 55 passengers went 200 meters off the runway at Monghsat in northern Shan State today before it hit a fence and stopped. It said a wing and a wheel were damaged, and two passengers suffered broken arms. The two, who were not identified, were treated at a nearby military hospital. The flight had departed from Heho, also in Shan State.—AP
