Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi and Pakistani schoolgirl Malala Yousafzai, who was shot by the Taliban for advocating education for girls, will address students at the inauguration of the three-day Indian Student Parliament (ISP) in the Indian city of Pune on Jan. 10, reports India Today. “Malala is expected to deliver one of the keynote addresses at the ISP, or Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad. The other address will be delivered by Suu Kyi,”said an ISP official quoted in the report. Sixteen-year-old Malala earned global admiration after she was shot by Taliban militants in a school bus in 2012. She is expected to visit a few other Indian cities during her first ever trip to India.
