Reuters journalists could face arrest in Thailand over article alleging that Thailand’s military was involved in the trafficking of Rohingya Muslims from Burma, Agence France-Presse (AFP) reports. Reuters won a Pulitzer prize for the article, part of series on the exploitation of Rohingya who wash up in Thailand on boats as they try to reach Malaysia. “The Reuters journalists will be summoned in the next few days to acknowledge defamation charges, [police] Lieutenant Somkid On-Jan told AFP from the southern island of Phuket where the complaint was filed by the Thai navy,” the news agency reported, adding that the unnamed reporters were likely abroad.
