Malaysia will consider offering Burmese migrants registered under its controversial 6P program work as maids, claims Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. The Malaysian premier met with Burmese President Thein Sein this week and said there are 250,000 Burmese workers currently registered under the 6P biometric program. Najib, who was in Burma for a two-day official visit which ended on Thursday, said Malaysia would consider giving migrants a chance to work as domestic maids because Burmese nationals were “polite,” according to The Star newspaper.
