The 57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has urged Aung San Suu Kyi to help end violence against Rohingyas in Burma’s Arakan State. “As a Nobel Peace Laureate, we are confident that the first step of your journey towards ensuring peace in the world would start from your own doorstep,” OIC head Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu wrote in a letter to Suu Kyi on Thursday, according to AFP. He also called for the quick “return of the victims to their respective properties” a month after riots displaced tens of thousands of Rohingya and ethnic Arakanese.
