Deloitte, one of the world’s biggest international accountant firms, announced on Thursday that it has opened a subsidiary office in Rangoon called Independent Correspondent Firm. The firm was set up through the cooperation with local Burmese accountant Myanmar Vigour Group. “Deloitte will be able to offer a full range of professional services, including tax, consulting, and financial advisory… to help clients capitalize on the many opportunities this newly-opened country presents,” the company said in a press release. “Deloitte network’s clients across all industries are looking to expand their role in developing the Myanmar economy” as a result of the recent lifting of sanctions and ongoing reforms, Deloitte said.
