Indian power transmission company Alstom T&D India announced on Tuesday that it has completed delivery of a substation that will link the Tha Htay Chaung hydroelectric dam in Arakan State to Burma’s electrical grid. According to a statement released by the company, the 1.05 billion rupee (US $18.7 million) project was completed ahead of schedule. The contract covered the supply of a turnkey substation for the 230 kV transmission project, which links the 3×40 MW Tha Htay Chaung dam to the electrical grid, reports the Economic Times of India.
