DHL Global Forwarding, one of the world’s leading providers of air and ocean freight services, has set up a wholly owned office in Rangoon and appointed a country manager for Burma, reports The Bangkok Post. “DHL Global Forwarding’s logistics experts based in Yangon will help bridge businesses in Myanmar with a network of international business partners both within and beyond the region,” said Kelvin Leung, the company’s chief executive for the Asia-Pacific region. The report notes that while DHL will support the fastest growing sectors of the economy, gas production and construction, it will also boost development in consumer goods and technology.
