Border Affairs ministers from Naypyidaw and Shan State met with Wa leaders in Panghsang last week and were also scheduled to visit Mongla, the headquarters of the National Democratic Alliance Army, according to the Shan Herald Agency for News. It was the first meeting between government representatives and the two northeastern ceasefire groups since December.
