A Burmese man who was shot near a political rally site in Bangkok on Monday is in stable condition and recovering in hospital, reports DVB. Tun Tun Oo, a 22-year-old native of Karen State who has lived in Thailand for two years, was shot at around 5 am on Jan. 6 while unloading goods at a bakery where he works. The motive for the shooting was unclear, but the bakery is located near a site where anti-government protesters have been staging demonstrations since late last year. On the day of the incident, the Burmese embassy in Bangkok issued a warning to its nationals to avoid the protests.
