Burma’s navy has contributed three ships to the expanded search for a Malaysia Airlines flight that went missing on March 8, Xinhua reports. News on Saturday that the flight path of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 was “deliberately” altered, and information that it flew for as long as seven hours after it lost contact with air traffic controllers on the ground, has greatly expanded the scope of the search, which originally focused on the Gulf of Thailand in the South China Sea. Investigators now say the plane was last tracked along one of two large arcs, the northern of which includes nearly all of Burma and the Andaman Sea off its coast.
