Japanese prosecutors on Wednesday searched the office of a lawyer of former Nissan Motor Co. chairman Carlos Ghosn, apparently to seize a computer believed to have been used by the former auto tycoon in connection with his escape from Japan.
Junichiro Hironaka, a member of Ghosn’s defense team, had refused a demand by the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office to voluntarily submit the personal computer Ghosn used in the lawyer’s office.
