BEIJING—Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has urged his British counterpart not to meddle in China’s internal affairs, as criticism mounted of Beijing’s attempt to enforce a national security law in Hong Kong.
“China has not interfered in the internal affairs of Britain,” Wang told British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab during telephone talks on Monday, emphasizing that Beijing will maintain its “one country, two systems” principle, China’s Foreign Ministry said.
