U Win Htein, an NLD secretariat member and aide to Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, arrived back in Myanmar from Australia on Saturday morning, saying his return was prompted by the state counselor ‘s rejection of his resignation from the party. He was due to head to Naypyitaw on the same day to join the party’s Central Executive Committee meeting as well as to meet the country’s presumptive new president, U Win Myint.
