A video of a regime jet flying over a residential area on the outskirts of Phop Phra District in Thailand’s Tak Province near the Myanmar border on Thursday went viral among Thai Facebook users, prompting widespread concern. The airspace incursion came one day after junta chief Min Aung Hlaing’s meeting with the Royal Thai Army’s Lt-Gen Apichet Suesat to discuss border stability. The Thai government made a complaint about the incursion through a diplomatic channel, according to officials in Bangkok.
