Authorities on Saturday evicted the family of Police Captain Moe Yan Naing from their living quarters in Naypyitaw on very short notice.The eviction followed the police officer’s courtroom revelation on Friday of a police plot to frame two Reuters journalists currently in detention on suspicion of violating the Official Secrets Act. The police captain has himself been in detention for more than three months, since his arrest for illegally interacting with the Reuters reporters in November. Moe Yan Naing has not been allowed to see his family since he was arrested, according to his wife.
