An explosion occurred inside the armory at the notorious Myanmar military Battalion 102 based in Demoso Township, Kayah State, at around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, causing a fire. While the cause of the explosion remained unclear, the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) reported that as regime forces tried to put out the fire, resistance forces fired on them with long-range weapons, causing further explosions and a huge fire that continued to rage into the evening. Shouting was also reportedly heard outside. Combined resistance forces have been engaged in heavy clashes with regime forces in Demoso since the morning. (Video: KNDF)
