ROME—The Italian government said Thursday the number of deaths from the coronavirus in the country had reached 148, while more than 3,800 people had been infected with the virus.
The number of deaths jumped by 41 from the previous day, while the number of people testing positive for the virus increased by 769 to 3,858, the government said.
