At least 54 Myanmar junta troops as well as a resistance fighter were reportedly killed in the last five days as People’s Defense Force groups (PDFs) and ethnic armed organizations continued to attack regime targets across the country.
Incidents were reported in Karen and Mon states and Magwe, Sagaing, Bago and Tanintharyi regions.
The Irrawaddy has collected the following reports of significant attacks from PDFs and EAOs.
Some military casualties could not be independently verified.
Regime battalion commander killed in fierce clash in Karen
At least six regime forces including a battalion commander were killed in a heavy clash with combined resistance groups in Kawkareik Township, Karen State on Tuesday, said resistance drone unit Kloud, which took part in the incident.
At least eight resistance groups including drone units attacked regime forces invading an area controlled by the resistance group Albino Tiger Column. After suffering heavy losses, junta forces conducted five air strikes against the resistance groups, said the Kloud drone unit.
Clashes erupt in Mon
The joint military command office of the civilian National Unity Government (NUG) and the Karen Nation Union (KNU) for Military Region 3 said regime forces used three artillery rounds to bomb PDF fighters and Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) troops of the KNU who were conducting security checks on vehicles on the Mawlamyine-Ye-Dawei Highway in Ye Township, Mon State on Sunday morning.
After the junta attack, the combined resistance groups retreated and took up a position on a hill near Apyingyi Sakhan Village. Later, a firefight broke out in the area for 10 minutes when resistance forces attacked 20 regime forces approaching their area. Four regime forces were killed and another seriously injured.
Military timber flotilla ambushed in Magwe

Black Wolf PDF (Mandalay) said it and four other resistance groups jointly ambushed a military flotilla including timber barges traveling down the Chindwin River in Yesagyo Township, Magwe Region on Sunday.
Details of damage and military casualties were unknown. There were no resistance casualties.
Police station bombed by drones in Magwe
The Defense Ministry of the NUG said its armed wings—battalions of Gangaw District PDF—used drones to drop 36 bombs on the police station in Kan Village in Gangaw Township, Magwe Region on Saturday.
Details of damage and regime casualties were unknown. After being bombed, the junta forces responded with three 60-mm explosives.
On the same day, other Gangaw District PDF battalions, local resistance groups and the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) attacked a military unit of 30 troops including pro-junta Pyu Saw Htee militia members from the police station in Taung Khin Yan Village in Gangaw Township. Regime casualties were unknown, said the NUG’s Defense Ministry.
Military checkpoint bombed in Bago
At least one regime soldier—a sergeant—was killed and two other troops injured in Phyuu Township, Bago Region on Sunday when combined PDF groups dropped a drone bomb on a military checkpoint near Oak Phyat Village, said the NUG’s Defense Ministry.
Junta forces attacked while raiding villages in Sagaing
Special Ranger Force (SRF) said it and other resistance groups jointly attacked a military unit advancing to Kyi Ywar Village in Depayin Township, Sagaing Region on Sunday morning.
Regime casualties were unknown. There were no resistance casualties.
Military unit repeatedly bombed while retreating in Sagaing

Theikdi Shin PDF group said it and six other resistance groups used two clusters of six land mines to ambush a military unit of 80 troops carrying injured soldiers near an irrigation canal in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region on Monday, injuring two soldiers.
The military unit, which has been raiding villages since last week, was retreating to Shwebo town after facing a series of resistance ambushes and drone strikes.
The joint resistance groups used land mines to ambush the military unit again while it was heading to Shwebo town on Tuesday, killing one soldier.
Military base raided in Sagaing

Patheingyi PDF from Mandalay said it and several other resistance groups including drone units attacked regime forces in the pro-junta village of Thalal Bar in Ayadaw Township, Sagaing Region on Saturday.
The group claimed to have killed eight regime forces including four pro-junta Pyu Saw Htee militia members in the attack. A resistance fighter also suffered injuries.
Regime forces ambushed in Sagaing
Tharlarwaddy Defense Force, a battalion of the NUG’s PDF, said it and two other resistance groups ambushed a unit from the military’s Artillery Battalion 508 in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region on Monday, killing a soldier and seizing his weapon and explosives.
Resistance forces attacked regime sentries who remained behind while the military unit was heading to Tharsi Village.
Junta suffers heavy losses in resistance attacks in Tanintharyi
Myeik PDF said it and other resistance groups including the Karen National Defense Organization (KNDO), an armed wing of the KNU, conducted a dawn raid on the junta’s Tone Byawl Nge military base in Myeik Township, Tanintharyi Region last Friday.
Thirteen junta troops were killed and six injured while two resistance fighters also suffered injuries. The next day, the combined resistance groups clashed with regime forces near a village in the township. Twenty more regime troops as well as a resistance fighter were killed in the clash.
