At least 31 Myanmar junta troops were killed in the last four days as People’s Defense Force groups and ethnic armed organizations (EAOs) stepped up attacks on regime targets across the country.
In one case a resistance group conducted drone strikes on a military air base in the junta’s administrative capital Naypyitaw.
Incidents were reported in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Magwe, Mandalay, Bago and Tanintharyi regions.
The Irrawaddy has rounded up the following reports of significant attacks from the PDFs and EAOs.
Some military casualty figures could not be independently verified.
Military air base bombed by improvised drone in Naypyitaw

The resistance group Iron Tiger Battalion said it used a makeshift remote-controlled airplane to drop bombs targeting aircraft hangers at the Aye Lar military air base beside Naypyitaw International Airport in the junta’s administrative capital in a special operation last Friday.
A resistance video also shows a drone dropping two improvised bombs on the junta air base. Details of damage and military casualties were unknown.
Military regional command headquarters shelled in Sagaing
Chindwin Attack Force said it and other resistance groups jointly used 120-mm and 60-mm mortar rounds to shell the headquarters of the North West Military Command in Monywa Town, Sagaing Region last Friday.
The mortar rounds exploded in the compound of the base, but details of damage and casualties were unknown.
Army captain killed in drone strikes in Sagaing
Resistance forces conduct a drone strike against regime forces stationed at a village school in Wetlet Township last Friday.
An army captain was killed and five other troops seriously injured in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region last Friday when combined resistance groups used drones to drop bombs on regime forces stationed at a school in Shwekyin Village, said Black Wolf Army, which coordinated the attack.
Military unit bombed in Sagaing
Shwebo’s Fighters Without Borders claimed to have killed three regime forces and injured seven others as it and other resistance groups triggered land mines to ambush a military unit of 30 troops patrolling on the Shwebo-Kyaung Myaung road in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region last Friday.
Military unit ambushed with land mines in Sagaing
Civilian Defense and Security Organization of Myaung (CDSOM) claimed it and seven other resistance groups killed five regime forces and injured seven others as it triggered land mines to ambush a military unit between two villages in Myaung Township, Sagaing Region on Saturday.
Regime forces bombed in Sagaing
Ghost Team Ranger (Myinmu) said it and three other resistance groups used drones to drop 11 bombs on regime forces stationed at a school and the township General Administration Department office in Myinmu town, Sagaing Region on Saturday.
After being bombed, the regime forces attacked the residential wards in the town using drone bombs and firearms, injuring four civilians.
Series of clashes erupts in Bago
Clashes raged for three days in Minhla Township, Bago Region from last Thursday when Thayawady District PDF Battalion 3802 attacked regime units attempting to retake their base in the Bago Yoma mountains, which was seized and burned by the resistance groups on Sept. 9, according to the PDF group.
Last Thursday and Friday the PDF group ambushed two military units secretly attempting to reoccupy the base, forcing the regime forces to retreat from the area.
On Saturday, clashes continued as resistance groups ambushed regime forces on trucks trying to reach their former base. A military vehicle was destroyed in the clash, but resistance forces had to retreat from the site due to a lack of ammunition and the arrival of junta reinforcements. Eight soldiers were killed and at least five injured on the day, the PDF group said.
Heavy clash erupts in Mandalay’s Mogoke
Clashes broke out in two locations in Mogoke Township, Mandalay Region last Friday when three battalions of military troops attempted to raid areas controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), the ethnic Palaung armed group said.
During the clashes, the junta used a fighter jet to attack the ethnic fighters. Casualties on both sides were unknown.
Five regime forces killed in land mine ambush in Mandalay
The Defense Ministry of the civilian National Unity Government (NUG) said one of its armed wings, Madaya PDF, triggered land mines to ambush a military infantry unit leaving a village in Madaya Township, Mandalay Region on Saturday morning, killing five regime forces.
Clashes break out in Tanintharyi
Palaw PDF, which forms Myeik District PDF Battalion 1 of the National Unity Government (NUG), said it killed five regime forces during two days of clashes as it attacked regime forces stationed in Lat Kuu Village in Palaw Township, Tanintharyi Region last Friday and Saturday.
During the clashes, a military battalion nearby and gunboats off the coast shelled the village to help their ground troops, killing a civilian. Junta troops later left the village, after using around 100 detained villagers as human shields, said Palaw PDF.
Regime forces pounded in Magwe
Resistance drones drop bombs on regime targets in a village in Gangaw Township last Friday.
At least four regime forces were killed and 17 injured in Gangaw Township, Magwe Region last Friday when HYPER UAV Forces and other resistance groups including the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) used drones to drop bombs on a military unit of 100 troops stationed in Thin Taw Village.
The regime forces fled the village after the drone strikes.
