At least eight Myanmar junta forces as well as a resistance fighter were killed in the last four days as People’s Defense Forces and an ethnic armed organization (EAO) attacked regime targets across the country.
The junta has been conducting a major offensive against the Kachin Independence Army since Saturday.
Incidents were reported in Shan and Mon states and Mandalay, Magwe and Sagaing regions.

Some military casualties could not be independently verified.
Junta in heavy clashes with KIA in northern Shan
Five days of heavy clashes broke out in Kutkai and Muse townships, northern Shan State when junta troops raided the territory of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA)’s Battalion 9 on Saturday, according to local Kachin media.
After sustaining heavy losses, the junta conducted daily air strikes and troop reinforcements have been sent to the clash areas, the media reported citing local residents.
Military weapons factory attacked in Magwe
Local PDF group Eagle Force said it used two 90-mm rocket-propelled explosives to attack the military’s No. 12 weapons factory in Thayet Township, Magwe Region on Wednesday night.
One of the explosives struck near soldiers’ barracks in the factory. The extent of the damage and military casualties were unknown.
Regime forces attacked in Sagaing
Four regime forces were killed in Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region on Wednesday when three PDF groups used twenty 60-mm improvised mortar rounds to shell regime forces stationed in Palai Village, said Chindwin Attack Force, which took part in the attack.
The regime forces raided and burned down several villages nearby.
During the PDF attack, the junta responded with two heavy explosives and firearms. However, PDF fighters retreated from the area without casualties.
Regime bases shelled in Sagaing
Local resistance group Chindwin Toenayar PDF claimed it and four other PDF groups killed three regime forces and injured five others when they used 40-mm, 60-mm and 80-mm improvised mortar rounds to shell regime forces stationed in a park and the township General Administration Department office in the town of Yinmabin, Sagaing Region on Monday.

PDF fighter killed in clash in Sagaing
Local PDF group National Revolutionary Guards said member Moe Min Htet was killed during a firefight with regime forces in Salingyi Township, Sagaing Region on Tuesday.
Military vehicle ambushed with land mines in Mandalay
Many regime forces are thought to have been killed or injured in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Region on Wednesday when two PDF groups used three land mines to ambush a military vehicle carrying 40 soldiers near a village, said Tagaung-PDF, which coordinated the ambush.
Pro-regime militia leader assassinated in Mon
PDF group Special Operation Force claimed to have assassinated Myint Ye, a pro-regime militia leader, in a village in Paung Township, Mon State on Wednesday.
Myin Ye was killed while he was at a teashop with other pro-regime Pyu Saw Htee militia members. He was providing military training to the militia and had also abducted civilians for ransom.
