Nok Mini, the commuter airline affiliated with budget carrier Nok Air, is considering three Burmese routes out of its hub in the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai, according to a report by The Bangkok Post. The airline said it will use Saab 340B turboprop aircraft capable of carrying 34 passengers for the proposed flights to Rangoon, Mandalay and Pagan. A decision on whether to go ahead with the plan will be made early next year, said Sant Sangwornrachasup, the airline’s assistant vice-president for strategic and business development. Nok Mini currently serves on Thai destinations.
