Burma’s opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has said Burma is yet to see real economic progress despite reforms to open up the country to business, according to Eleven Media. “Myanmar’s economic situation is not good at present. Briefly speaking, there is no real progress. We can say this judging by the people’s living conditions. Their living standards have not improved yet,” the National League for Democracy chairperson told reporters in Naypyidaw on Tuesday, a report by Eleven Media said. She reportedly said the slow progress was down to the lack of the rule of law and basic infrastructure in Burma.
