About 150 Shan representatives from all over Burma are expected to participate in a three-day conference in Rangoon next week, where they will discuss issues such as the ongoing peace process, politics, armed movements, community-based organizations, economy, education, drugs, and Shans who have been assimilated, the Shan Herald Agency for News reported. The Trust-building for Peace Conference is to be followed by state- and union-level conferences. Expected high-profile participants include Vice President Sai Mawk Kham andf President’s Office ministers Aung Min and Soe Thein.
