The company that makes Apple’s iPhones says it has suspended production at a Chinese factory for a day following a fight involving as many as 2,000 employees. Foxconn Technology Group and police said the fight erupted late Sunday at a privately managed dormitory near Foxconn’s factory in Taiyuan in northern China. The official Xinhua news agency said the situation was brought under control after about 10 hours. Comments posted on Chinese Internet bulletin boards said the fight might have erupted after a security guard hit an employee. Foxconn said production would resume Tuesday.—AP
