Foreign direct investment into Burma reached US$4.1 billion in the 2013-14 fiscal year, Eleven Media reports, citing the country’s Directorate of Investment and Companies Administration (DICA). The investments—in Burma’s energy, commodities, mineral extraction, hotel and tourism, and property sectors, among other industries—brought the total number of foreign nations putting money into Burma to 34.
