Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said her country wants to forge stronger ties with neighboring Burma as reforms in the former pariah state continue, the Dhaka-based Daily Star reported on Tuesday. Speaking to outgoing Burmese ambassador Min Lwin, Hasina expressed satisfaction at the recent settlement of a longstanding maritime boundary dispute and said Bangladesh was keen to import surplus hydro-electric power from Rakhine and Chin states.
