Two landmine blasts in Shan State killed three people on Friday, anti-landmine NGO Clear Path International reports. “The accidents, which occurred within hours of each other on December sixth, killed one man and two women, both of them mothers to four children each,” the group said in a statement, which did not mention in which townships the blasts occurred. On Nov. 16 another landmine blast occurred in Shan State as one of four women collecting herbs stepped on a mine, the NGO said. One woman lost her lower leg and sustained serious abdominal injuries, while three others and a four-year-old girl were also injured.
