Fifty-six artists are included in the exhibition depicting landscapes, culture and lifestyle in Myanmar, in traditional and modern styles.
“I would like to take time and enjoy some paintings in detail. Very enchanting. They soothe my mind at one glance,” said Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
Paintings at the exhibition are available for purchase from between US$500 (744,435 kyats) and US$10,000.
“We’re proud that the State Counselor has taken time out from her busy schedule and visited our exhibition. We are more than glad if our paintings can give her pleasure during her busy days,” said artist Zaw Win, whose work is included in the exhibition. The exhibition ends this evening.
