Suspected drug trafficker Naw Kham, who was detained by the Chinese authorities in May, has admitted masterminding the murder of 13 Chinese sailors on the Mekong River on Oct. 5 in 2011, according to The Bangkok Post. During his visit to Bangkok on Monday, Liu Yuejin, director of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security Narcotics Control Bureau, told Thai Police Gen Chief Priewpan Damapong that Naw Kham, an ethnic Shan Burmese citizen, admitted ordering one of his aides to attack the two cargo vessels, claims the newspaper.
