Peace Songs | March 24

Renowned reggae singer Saw Poe Kwar performs in support of Burma’s peace process and donates half of the proceeds from album sales.

Earth Hour | March 25

Join the lighting of 10,000 oil lamps to celebrate Burma’s first Earth Hour at Shwedagon Pagoda. Earth Hour volunteers from youth and environmental groups, WWF celebrity ambassadors and guests from government, embassies and businesses will gather for the event.

Climate and Environment International Festival | March 23-26

This film festival presents award-winning and lesser-known films to draw public attention to the effects of climate change on Burma. A panel discussion regarding international climate change will also take place.

The Hninzi Myaing Art Gallery has collected donations of artwork that will be sold to contribute to ailing veteran artists U Shein Tun and U Thaung Han.
