Daring Ukrainian drone strikes hit Russian airbases thousands of kilometers from the front lines on Sunday, destroying dozens of Russian warplanes. In the operation, dubbed “Spiderweb”, 117 drones struck more than 40 Russian aircraft including Tu-95 and Tu-22 strategic bombers, which Russia uses to fire long-range missiles at Ukrainian cities. Ukraine reported the major attack damaged 34 percent of Russia’s strategic bombers.
