WASHINGTON–US President Donald Trump suggested Monday he has authorized his government to begin the transition to President-elect Joe Biden after so far refusing to concede defeat in the Nov. 3 election.

Trump tweeted that he has recommended the administrator of the General Services Administration, who plays a key role in starting the transition process, to “do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols.”
