Voice of America (VOA) has signed an agreement with Sky Net, a regional direct-to-home satellite TV service, to provide content that will be available to subscribers in Burma. The deal was signed in Rangoon on Thursday by VOA Director David Ensor and Myint Myint Win, managing director of Shwe Than Lwin Media Co. Ltd., which operates Sky Net. Under the terms of the agreement, Sky Net will broadcast VOA Asia TV, a new channel that will include Burmese-language news and English-language education, information and entertainment programs.
