Two ethnic Karenni men were killed last weekend in an altercation in Phoenix, Arizona, according to a report by the Democratic Voice of Burma. The incident occurred on April 27 outside of a building where around 40 members of the local Karenni community had gathered to mourn the death of a friend. Police told a local affiliate of Fox News that “there was some type of altercation involving both victims and possibly two Hispanic males and one Hispanic female,” but the details were not clear, as police were unable to effectively communicate with witnesses due to the language barrier.
